Ethio-Jazz

Ethio-Jazz is a vibrant fusion of traditional Ethiopian music scales and rhythms with the improvisational elements of jazz. Originating in the 1960s, this genre was pioneered by musicians like Mulatu Astatke, who blended the pentatonic scales of Ethiopia with the modal harmonies and swing of jazz.
